While much of our work happens quietly in the background, the impact can be felt everywhere – from quicker system responses to smoother workflows, and more reliable tools for our teams.
The hit of the season: Our biggest wins in 2025
One of the tunes that topped the charts this year was the upgrade of our SQL Server environment. This upgrade strengthened the foundation of our systems, improving speed, stability, and data security, the kind of behind-the-scenes work that ensures everything else runs smoothly.
We also introduced a new software deployment platform, Azure DevOps, replacing our older system. This modern tool helps us manage updates and releases more efficiently, meaning new features can be tested, improved, and rolled out faster. This is a big win for collaboration and agility.
Another important improvement was the Premium Calculation update, ensuring even greater accuracy and consistency in how we calculate and present premiums. Alongside this, we enhanced the Logiq, declaration of health, and confirmation of cover questionnaires, as well as our Wellness Health Insurance Policy Services (WHIPS) integration. These updates help streamline how client information moves through our systems, making the process more transparent and responsive for both our internal teams and our clients.
Hitting all the right notes
We also made great strides with our PowerApps Framework, which allows us to build internal tools with less complexity and more flexibility. This means fewer manual steps, clearer visibility, and better support for the business.
As we wrap up this productive year, our focus for 2026 is the modernisation of our platform and the completion of the User Interface (UI) Framework. Together, these initiatives will modernise how we host and display information, improve security, and make BrightRock’s digital platforms even more intuitive and user-friendly.
Finally, we’d like to take a moment to thank Francois Wirth for his leadership, guidance, and many contributions as Chief Information Officer. As he moves on to new adventures, we warmly welcome Viren Naidu into the role and look forward to the fresh energy and perspective he brings to the team.
