Sometimes your brain just needs a five-minute escape before you dive back into the to-do list. So, why not swap the endless scrolling for a little friendly competition?
We’ve rounded up four fun online games that are easy to pick up, entertaining and perfect for a quick mental break. Challenge yourself, challenge a colleague or simply see how high you can score!
Wordle – Can you crack the code?
Think you have a way with words? Put your vocabulary to the test with Wordle. You have six attempts to guess the five-letter word of the day.
Perfect for: Word lovers.
GeoGuessr – Where in the world?
Fancy yourself a geography expert? GeoGuessr drops you into a location somewhere around the world and challenges you to work out where you are using clues from the scenery.
Perfect for: Travellers, geography buffs and anyone who thinks they can recognise a country from a road sign! GeoGuessr also offers daily challenges and ways to play with friends.
Jigsaw Explorer – Piece of the puzzle
Prefer something a little more relaxing? Take a break with an online jigsaw puzzle. Jigsaw Explorer offers thousands of puzzles across categories including nature, travel, animals, art and more. You can even save your progress and return later.
Perfect for: Puzzle fans and anyone looking for a calmer way to switch off.
Sporcle – Test your knowledge
How much random knowledge is actually stored in your brain? Find out with Sporcle's huge range of quizzes covering topics such as general knowledge, geography, sport, movies, music and more.
Perfect for: Trivia buffs, quiz champions and those who always seem to know the answer!
Next time you need a quick reset, pick a game and give your brain something different to focus on. Better yet, challenge a fellow Bright Spark and start a little office leaderboard!
