Change is a constant in ICT – and it brings opportunities to improve, innovate and find better ways of working.
There’s plenty we’re looking forward to in the coming months, especially seeing exciting projects move into production from the deployment of a new product, to further modernising our existing platforms.
We’re preparing to launch an enhanced Business Insurance Value Proposition centred on our clients’ needs. By addressing those needs more effectively, the offering is expected to strengthen BrightRock’s competitive position and support market share growth.
Upgrades and changes with positive outcomes
We will further modernise key parts of the Iris Portal to create a stronger foundation for what comes next. This will enable faster delivery of new features, smoother performance, and a more polished user experience across the modules you use most. The updated platform will also be designed to scale more easily as demand grows, supported by stronger security and maintenance practices behind the scenes to help keep everything reliable, secure and up to date.
We’re also excited about the new Analysis Foundry team within ICT. This team brings together the analysis and Business Analysis activities while continuing to work closely with the Application Foundry, Application Care and the other BrightRock stakeholders.
We’re particularly proud of the WorkItem and premium calculation changes, which have had a positive impact on system performance.
Also, October is Cybersecurity Month! We’ll be sharing a lot of informative content around staying safe when browsing the internet. So, be on the lookout and remember to complete the compulsory culture survey.
Change is about people too!
At our ICT Connect meetings, we celebrate the milestones that matter, from work achievements and personal successes to birthdays and promotions. It’s an opportunity to recognise our fellow BrightRockers, celebrate their success and share in the moments that make our team stronger.
We’ve had some promotions within our team. A big congratulations to Bhaveer Bhana, Claire Munsamy, Johan van Rhyn, Liezel van den Heever, Meshe Jehoma, Phindile Mnguni and Werno van Rhyn. We wish each of you continued success in your new roles.
In the ICT team, we embrace change through curiosity, collaboration and a willingness to learn. Change gives us the opportunity to question how we work, find better solutions and grow together.
