April 2025
2024 was a year of pushing boundaries, thinking differently, and making a real difference, and we couldn't be prouder of what we’ve built together as a team. This year, we’re focusing on streamlining our processes and updating our guidelines.
Exciting projects on the go
The medical requirement engine is going live in 2025 – the date is yet to be confirmed but we’re busy with meetings and testing of the systems.This will not only impact the Medical Appointments and Tele-underwriting team – it will have an impact on other teams as well.
We love to stay connected
As a way of keeping connected, we’re planning on introducing WhatsApp for business in the Tele-underwriting team and BrightPattern calls for the Chase team. The Credit Control team and Commissions team each have a WhatsApp group where they stay connected. Whether it’s sharing a funny meme to lift each other’s spirits or a menu of a new restaurant in the area to order lunch, we’re always ensuring that we keep each other up-to-date and connected. We also have a Policy Finance WhatsApp group where the team keeps up with what’s hip and happening.
Fun opportunities in the team
Other ways in which our team stays connected is through celebrating special occasions. We decorate our desks, we applaud each other for our success, and enjoy food together.
A highlight in February was when the whole team celebrated Valentine’s Day by dressing up for the special day. It was a bright, fun Friday afternoon and the team was excited for the opportunity to create memories.
The New Business Applications and Requirement Management team in Gqeberha had a fun time dressing up for Valentine’s Day this year.
Bright achievements
We welcomed Roslyn Leibrandt to the Tele-underwriting team in February. We also welcomed two new Associate Policy Finance Consultants – Pumeza Titise and Chelsea Pieterse who joined the Credit Control team.
Andrea Roberts in the Credit Control team is expecting her first child – a little girl. We can’t wait to welcome our new BrightRock baby in April 2025.
We’d like to congratulate Fikile Mahambehlala on her promotion from Associate Commissions Consultant to Commissions Consultant. We wish her well in taking on her new duties and trust she will be very successful in her new role!
In February 2025, we said goodbye to Nicole Meiring in the Credit Control team. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Exceeding our own expectations
We worked hard and the results paid off in 2024. We look forward to doing even better in 2025! Our SLAs for the year were excellent. Our ratings by our Distribution Specialists were the best ever and we achieved the highest rating of 9.25 in the Tele-underwriting team. All teams exceeded target in the ratings, we are very proud of this.
Looking forward to a brighter 2025
What we’re looking forward to in 2025 is updating our FSP contracting documents to cater for beneficial ownership and updating all our existing contracts with the beneficial ownership data. We’re also exploring moving our mailbox management to BrightPatterns for Credit Control and Commissions.
No matter the challenge, everyone has given their very best to support each other, ensuring that our work not only meets but exceeds expectations. We’re very proud of our success!
