We’re excited to launch some key initiatives designed to strengthen our team this year. These projects will enhance efficiency and further reinforce our commitment to delivering excellence in the market.
We’ve made substantial improvements to the business achievement league qualifying criteria for 2025, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the current Distribution Specialist remuneration structure.
Another key priority for this year is to further strengthen our partnerships with high-performing Financial Advisers.
We also want to expand the number of supporting IFAs on each DS panel, improving overall DS efficiency, and enabling BrightRock Distribution Services to perform at its full potential.
We’ve set ambitious goals for ourselves
BrightRock is one of the most innovative players in the individual risk market, and we are the fastest growing in terms of market share. This creates a unique opportunity to fuel our success. Building on this momentum, we’re well-positioned for an exciting and impactful year ahead, driving growth, innovation, and success across our operations.
Staying connected
Our divisions nationwide have their own ways of staying connected. Each division has a WhatsApp group for daily communication and business updates. Our Managing Distribution Executives (MDEs) also have a unique notification sound for when a Distribution Specialist reports a submission on their WhatsApp group. Here’s a sneak peek of how some of our divisions stay connected:

A team that camps together wins together
Our Limpopo team recently hosted a team-building event, using their winnings from the Supersonic Challenge competition to attend the Kip Moore music festival at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. They also partnered with the Mpumalanga division for a year-end function at the Eiland Spa Resort, where team members and their families enjoyed a weekend of camping together.

Inspired to celebrate victory together
The eThekwini division stays connected through an active WhatsApp group for daily communication and recognition, where each team member is assigned a unique emoji to celebrate business submissions. They also have a Power Hour engagement day, where the entire team gathers in the office to connect and collaborate. They host quarterly team events, such as go-karting, braais, and other activities chosen through a team poll.

This is our time to thrive
In the Free State division, our new Managing Distribution Executive is committed to creating an office environment where Distribution Specialists feel welcome, safe, and happy. To achieve this, they’ve introduced initiatives such as Friday morning meetings after Power Hour, where they gather around a table, enjoy coffee, and participate in a team activity. Another way the team stays connected is by hosting fun events. In February 2025, they hosted a "quiz" event, where each team member asked three general knowledge questions. It was a fun time with prizes and a quiz winner.
